Welcome to the Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. website. These Terms of Service govern the use of our website and the renovation services we provide. By accessing this website, requesting a quotation, signing a contract, or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

General Terms

Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. specializes in residential renovations including basement developments, legal secondary suites, kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, home gyms, wet bars, flooring, custom carpentry, painting, interior finishing, and project management. Every project is completed in accordance with the signed construction agreement, approved drawings, applicable Alberta Building Code requirements, municipal regulations, and permit conditions where required.

All photographs, renderings, floor plans, and design concepts displayed on our website are intended to demonstrate our workmanship and design capabilities. Actual project specifications, finishes, colours, layouts, and materials may vary depending on client selections, structural limitations, and product availability.

Estimates & Pricing

All quotations and estimates provided by Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. are based on the information available at the time of preparation and remain valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated in writing. Pricing is based solely on the scope of work outlined in the estimate.

Any modifications requested after the contract has been signed, including design changes, material substitutions, or additional work, will require written approval through a formal change order. Such changes may affect the project cost, construction schedule, or both.

Project Scheduling

Every renovation project is carefully planned; however, construction schedules are estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates. Factors outside our reasonable control—including permit processing times, municipal inspections, weather conditions, supplier delays, labour shortages, unforeseen structural conditions, utility interruptions, or client-requested changes—may affect the overall timeline.

Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. will make every reasonable effort to maintain the project schedule while keeping clients informed of any significant delays.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure efficient project completion, homeowners agree to provide safe and uninterrupted access to the work area during normal construction hours. Personal belongings should be removed from renovation areas prior to construction unless otherwise agreed.

Clients are responsible for maintaining operational utilities including electricity, water, and heating throughout the duration of the project. Pets, children, and unauthorized individuals should remain outside active construction zones for safety reasons.

Prompt communication regarding selections, approvals, and requested changes is essential to maintaining project schedules.

Final Inspection & Project Completion

Upon substantial completion, a final walkthrough will be conducted with the homeowner to review the completed work. Any minor cosmetic touch-ups or deficiencies identified during this inspection will be documented and addressed within a reasonable timeframe.

Unless otherwise stated in the signed agreement, the remaining contract balance becomes due upon substantial completion of the project. Minor cosmetic items do not constitute grounds for withholding payment.

Two-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty

Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. proudly stands behind the quality of our workmanship by providing a Two-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty beginning on the date of substantial project completion.

This warranty covers defects resulting directly from improper installation or workmanship performed by Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. during normal residential use. Covered items may include drywall finishing defects, improperly installed trim, cabinet alignment issues, interior door adjustments, tile installation deficiencies, flooring installation defects, improperly installed fixtures, and workmanship-related deficiencies in completed renovations.

Warranty service is limited to the repair or replacement of defective workmanship at our discretion and does not include upgrades, redesigns, or cosmetic changes unrelated to workmanship.

Basement Development Warranty

Our basement development warranty applies to workmanship associated with framing, drywall installation, painting, trim carpentry, flooring installation, interior doors, cabinetry, feature walls, wet bars, fireplaces, plumbing finishing, and electrical finishing completed by Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. or its licensed subcontractors.

This warranty does not cover foundation movement, concrete settlement, existing structural deficiencies, water infiltration originating outside the building envelope, sewer backups, radon issues, or damage resulting from improper homeowner maintenance.

Natural settlement of a home may result in minor drywall cracks or caulking separation over time. These are common characteristics of residential construction and are not considered workmanship defects.

Kitchen Renovation Warranty

Our kitchen renovation warranty covers the professional installation of cabinetry, countertops, backsplashes, sinks, faucets, hardware, trim, and related finish carpentry completed by our team.

The warranty does not extend to damage caused by misuse, excessive heat, standing water, impact, improper cleaning products, accidental damage, or normal wear associated with everyday use. Quartz and stone countertops should always be protected from excessive heat and impact, while cabinetry should be kept dry and cleaned using non-abrasive cleaning products.

Manufacturer warranties continue to apply separately to appliances and factory-produced products.

Bathroom Renovation Warranty

Bathroom renovations completed by Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. include warranty coverage for workmanship related to tile installation, shower systems, waterproofing completed by our installers, vanities, plumbing fixture installation, glass shower installation, and finish carpentry.

This warranty does not cover mould growth caused by inadequate ventilation, soap residue, mineral deposits, hard water staining, silicone discoloration over time, broken glass, or leaks resulting from homeowner modifications or lack of maintenance.

Maintaining proper ventilation by operating exhaust fans during and after showers is essential to protecting bathroom finishes and minimizing moisture-related issues.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Proper maintenance is essential to preserving the appearance and longevity of your newly renovated home.

Luxury vinyl plank flooring should be swept regularly using a soft broom or vacuum designed for hard surfaces. Floors should only be cleaned using manufacturer-approved products, and excessive water should be avoided. Furniture should always have protective felt pads to prevent scratching.

Cabinetry should be cleaned using a damp microfiber cloth and mild soap. Abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and excessive moisture can permanently damage cabinet finishes. Standing water should always be wiped away immediately.

Quartz countertops require only mild soap and water for routine cleaning. Hot cookware should never be placed directly on the countertop, and cutting boards should always be used to prevent surface damage. Natural stone products should be maintained according to the manufacturer's recommendations, including periodic sealing when required.

Tile surfaces should be cleaned using pH-neutral cleaners specifically designed for tile and grout. Harsh acids, bleach, and abrasive products should be avoided to preserve grout integrity and finish quality.

Newly painted walls should not be washed for approximately thirty days following completion. Thereafter, gentle cleaning using a soft cloth and mild detergent is recommended. Abrasive scrubbing may damage painted surfaces.

Bathrooms should remain well ventilated by operating exhaust fans during showers and for at least twenty minutes afterward. Glass shower doors should be squeegeed regularly to reduce mineral buildup and prolong their appearance.

Wet bars and built-in cabinetry should be inspected periodically for plumbing leaks, and any spills should be cleaned immediately to prevent moisture damage.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear associated with everyday living. Minor settlement cracks, seasonal expansion and contraction of building materials, paint fading, wood movement, caulking shrinkage, flooring movement caused by humidity changes, and other natural aging characteristics are considered normal.

Damage resulting from accidents, furniture movement, pets, water intrusion, flooding, fire, misuse, abuse, negligence, improper cleaning products, unauthorized alterations, vandalism, or natural disasters is specifically excluded.

Products supplied by manufacturers, including appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, flooring products, windows, doors, and hardware, remain subject solely to their individual manufacturer warranties.

Any repairs, modifications, or alterations completed by another contractor without prior written authorization from Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. will void applicable workmanship warranty coverage for the affected area.

Warranty Claims

Should a warranty issue arise, homeowners are encouraged to notify Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. as soon as reasonably possible.

Warranty requests should include the homeowner's full name, property address, contact information, project completion date, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photographs or videos illustrating the concern.

Upon receipt of the warranty request, our team will review the information and arrange an inspection within a reasonable timeframe, typically within ten business days depending on scheduling.

Emergency situations involving active water leaks or electrical hazards should be reported immediately.

After inspection, we will determine whether the issue falls within the scope of our Limited Workmanship Warranty and schedule repairs accordingly.

Limitation of Liability

Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd.'s maximum obligation under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective workmanship.

Under no circumstances shall Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd. be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of rental income, temporary accommodation expenses, business interruption, inconvenience, or damage to personal property unless directly caused by our proven negligence.

Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to protecting personal information. Information collected through our website or during the renovation process is used solely for providing estimates, managing projects, communicating with clients, processing permits, administering warranties, and fulfilling contractual obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties except where required by law or necessary to complete your renovation project.

Intellectual Property

All content displayed on this website, including photographs, videos, renderings, graphics, logos, floor plans, written material, and design concepts, remains the exclusive property of Pixel Home Improvement Solutions Ltd.

No material from this website may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from our services or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Alberta.
